Project Description
Melissa Faulkner is a contract/freelance writer and editor who has worked on a fantastic range of fiction and non-fiction projects.
Melissa approached me as she wanted to refresh her branding and existing website. Melissa wanted to create a new website to showcase a selection of her projects, allowing potential clients to get to know her and the breadth of her work in a visually appealing way.
I recommended a mobile-friendly, single page, portfolio website, built using clean, easy to maintain Bootstrap HTML. I chose a font and colour for her name in the header which became her logo and created a matching favicon. This branding was used to create new business cards.
In 2019 we expanded the project grid functionality and created a page for each of the projects to broaden the information Melissa was able to convey.
In 2021 Melissa felt it was time to update the look and feel of her brand again. I modernised the colours, fonts and tweaked the styling on the website then rolled it out to a new set of business cards.
I'm thrilled with my new website that Janet has created. The responses that I'm getting from clients is exactly what I hoped to achieve. I'm sure this is because Janet asked clear questions to help me focus on what my site should look like and what it should be doing. She gave me options for graphics and functionality, and the result looks fresh and professional.
